Just sharing this quick idea I had last weekend for a fun way to add some color to your Halloween cookie tray or snack table! Here’s how to make Halloween sprinkle sticks!
I originally wanted to get some pretzel rods and dip them in chocolate and sprinkles to add a little color and height to our Halloween movie watching snack table, but when I couldn’t find those, I had the idea to substitute Pocky instead and I think they’re even better this way. These were definitely a hit with all the neighborhood kids. 🙂 Here’s how I made my Halloween sprinkle sticks!
Ingredients Needed for the Halloween Sprinkle Sticks
- Pocky
- Chocolate Chips
- Halloween Sprinkle Mix
Super simple, quite quick and just delightful. I love that these are kind of half-treat, half-decoration.
How to Make the Sprinkle Sticks for Halloween
Start out by melting your chocolate chips in a small bowl in the microwave for about a minute. Place your sprinkles in another small bowl.
Dip one Pocky stick into the melted chocolate and use a small spoon to help you re-cover the entire chocolate-covered area of the stick with extra melted chocolate.
Hold the stick with the chocolate over the sprinkle bowl and use another spoon to gently shake sprinkles over the melted chocolate. Repeat until you have quite a few sprinkles that have stuck to the chocolate for a fun, festive look. They definitely do not have to be perfect and when you put them all together, they’ll look great no matter what. 🙂
Place the stick down on a parchment-lined baking sheet and allow it to cool for a few minutes, until the chocolate hardens.
Display your sticks in a small cup for a bit of height on your snack table, or lay them flat on a tray to show them off.
Here’s how they looked on our Halloween movie-watching snack table, as photographed by Kennedy. 🙂 Can you spot them in the little skull dish? I added in a few regular Pocky sticks too, just for options.
