As far as timeless color combinations go, you can’t get much better than blue and white. Blue kitchen cabinets have been having a moment for the past few years, so here are a few of our favorites that we’ve captured recently.
Anything in blue and white will always hold a special place in my heart, whether it’s blue and white ceramics, a classic striped top, or an entire blue and white kitchen. We’ve seen just about every style of kitchen done with blue kitchen cabinets over the last little while, from dark navy and crisp white, to bright blue and a warm off-white. There are really so many different ways to do blue and white so I thought today I’d share some of my recent favorite blue and white kitchens. Hopefully some of these ideas will give you a little inspiration if you’re considering going blue and white in your kitchen too!
All the photos below are by Art & Spaces (us!) and the designers and cabinet makers are as listed along with each photo. If you’re local to Ontario and looking for help with bringing your vision for your home to life, we’ve very thoroughly checked out the work of all the different businesses listed below over many projects so I can absolutely recommend any of them. 🙂
Favorite Blue Kitchen Cabinets for Your Home
Navy blue island | This lakeside home features an all white kitchen with wood accents and an oversized island in navy blue right in the middle of it all. Navy blue kitchen cabinets definitely lend a lightly nautical look that’s perfect for this waterfront property. Design by Erin Vandersluis Design, Cabinetry by Oak Barrel Cabinetry
Mid blue lowers and island | This colourful country new-build features a mid-tone blue on the lowers and the island and soft white uppers. The extra thick butcher block countertop on the island really finishes off the look. This a great example of farmhouse blue kitchen cabinets if you’re hoping for a more traditional look. I think a kitchen like this would look beautiful with a farmhouse sink as well. Cabinetry by Windmill Cabinets.
Moody grey-blue island | The color of this island ads a little bit of personality into this very simply-designed kitchen. Design by Liberty Interior Design, Cabinetry by Oak Barrel Cabinetry.
More Kitchen Inspiration
Dark blue with gold hardware | This dramatic kitchen is anchored by the striking dark blue range hood and matching lower cabinets. The white uppers keep the kitchen from looking too dark and the gold hardware really helps warm the space up. Cabinetry by Oak Barrel Cabinetry.
Modern flat front cabinetry in navy | This is a look you don’t see often in blue kitchen cabinets, but I love this modern interpretation of this classic color combination. In this kitchen, all-blue flat front cabinetry is off-set by plenty of glossy white tile. Cabinetry by Oak Barrel Cabinetry.
Navy lowers and island with white uppers | This kitchen is a modern traditional masterpiece with navy lowers, white uppers, and plenty of gold hardware used throughout. Design by Erin Vanderluis Design.
Would you ever do blue kitchen cabinets in your home? I think blue is the perfect choice is you want a little color, and something a little different, but maybe not too different. 🙂
