Sharing what’s currently on my Amazon wish list today, just for fun. 🙂 It’s mostly pillows and other home decor items and it’s all super affordable!
Home decor seems like such a trivial thing to be talking about right now, but I also feel pretty strongly that having a home that I enjoy being in has been a great comfort to me during these last few days and weeks of uncertainty. Being able to sit in a room surrounded by the people, and the things, that I love really gives me a moment to sit back, take stock, and feel like everything’s going to be OK. Maybe you’re placing an Amazon order full of basics and necessities anyway and you can add an item or two in there to brighten your day, or maybe you’ll look through this list of some of my current favourites and realize that you already have something similar that you can put out to enjoy over the next little while. I just thought sharing some of what’s on my list of favourites right now might provide another opportunity for a happy distraction. We need more of those right now, along with more fresh air whenever possible, of course. 🙂
Amazon Pillow Finds
I find myself adding things to my cart all the time, just in case I decide I need them later. I’m always worried about losing my favourite finds somewhere in the millions (billions?) of available items, so I add them just to be sure. I definitely don’t need this many pillows or pillow covers, but one or two new ones are always fun. It’s good to have options. 🙂
The Cream Pom-Pom Pillow Covers
These aren’t actually on my wish list anymore since I bought them a few months ago. I’ve had quite a few people order these for themselves though so they’re worth a re-share. They make me happy and they’re surprisingly durable. Just spreading a little more joy throughout the land by suggesting these fun pillow covers! 🙂
Modern Macrame Pillow in Light Blue
I don’t normally like macrame, but this pillow speaks to me.
This pillow cover just reminds me a bit of my diamond patterned pillow that I have on my couch that I often get questions about. I made that pillow cover myself, but this one seems like a good alternative and actually a bit nicer.
Stone and Beam Outdoor Stripe Pillow
Strongly considering something like this for the porch this summer.
These pillows would add a nice textural element and compliment all those blue stripe pillows I can never seem to get enough of. Also the trim on these reminds me of caning and I love it.
I just always think this pattern is fun. I don’t know why.
Amazon Hardware Finds
I’ve discovered Amazon hardware now and there’s no going back. After I updated my kitchen hardware recently, I started poking around to see what other fun hardware things they might have available. It turns out that they have a lot.
Here’s the modern gold hardware that I used, first of all. Love it.
These minimal gold knobs are pretty great too. 🙂
If you’re on the lookout for some beautiful brackets for open shelves somewhere in your home, Amazon has an amazing selection of all different styles. This one style I’m showing here is my current favourite, although I actually have no use for it right now. I just like it, so I added it to my cart to remember it for later, just in case.
Curtain Rods and Finials
I took down the curtains in our bedroom last year and we’ve had just the blinds up since then. I hated the old curtain rods and the curtains themselves were looking a bit tired, so I’ve been enjoying the simpler look with just the blinds. These Amazon curtain rod finds really have me looking for a place to add some curtains just so I can use these beautiful finials somewhere. So our bedroom is definitely going to be my main target for that I think. 🙂
Merville Double Curtain Rod with in Royal Gold with White Marble Ball Finial
I don’t really need a double rod, but this one is stunning. Can’t believe the price!
Amazon Basics White Marble Finials
The Amazon Basics Finials are all made to fit on their standard curtain rods, so it looks like you can just mix and match to your heart’s content.
Amazon Basics Clear Acrylic Ball Finials
Also, in other curtain-related thoughts, I ran all over town trying to find simple curtain tie-backs for Jack’s room last year. I did finally find some. They’re simple, they do the job, they look nice and tidy, and I just think they’re the greatest thing. Of course now I realize that I could have saved myself a lot of mileage of I had just checked Amazon. Sure enough, they have some!
Other Random Finds To Freshen up Your Home
I was a little annoyed to find this shower curtain, honestly. This is the one I should have ended up with. I love the fabric and the striped pattern of our shower curtain, but I’m not really crazy about the grey color. I’ve always wished it was blue. Well, look at this. I happened to find an almost identical shower curtain, but in blue. You can see the little bathroom update that we did last year here to see our current shower curtain here.
Here’s the slightly nicer blue shower curtain. 🙂
This blue and white striped dog bed needs to make its way into my…er… Chuckers’ life one day.
This is just such a fresh, clean-looking table runner.
This French market basket really isn’t a home decor find, but I would definitely use it as such. It would look great hanging in a mudroom to hold extra supplies, or to hold extra blankets in a living room. It’s home decor that you can have out on display now, and get plenty of use out of later when the world opens back up and we’re all itching to get out to things like local markets again.
