Ice blue is one of the top trending colors for this year in fashion, and now in the home as well. Here are some of my favorite icy blue home decor finds.

I had to laugh recently when I read that icy blue is the new trending color of the year for both fashion and home decor. Light, powdery blue has been my go-to in my home for years for when I want to introduce a bit of soft color without going too bold. I have an icy blue front door, an icy blue garage door, a soft blue desk chair, and I even painted my entire kitchen in Benjamin Moore’s “Mount St. Anne” last summer. Pale blue is just a foolproof tone that works equally as well with warm and cool neutrals, and it even plays well with other colors. I like a color that is so soft, it’s almost a neutral itself, but clearly light blue isn’t playing the part of a supporting cast member anymore, and is having its time in the spotlight. Isn’t it so fun when you discover that you’re suddenly, accidentally on trend?
Ice Blue in My Home

I added this blue rattan chair to my desk nook a few years ago, and I’ve always loved the little bit of color and personality it introduces to this space. This is one of those beautiful pieces that I think of as an “instant heirloom” because it’s a high quality piece you know you’ll have for years and years. A future antique. 🙂

Our old garage is said to have been a chicken coop at one point and I love this sliding barn door that we have on one side. I painted both the main garage door and this sliding door in Behr’s Keystone Grey to bring a bit of personality to this cute building.

I took a risk and painted my kitchen in Benjamin Moore’s Mount St. Anne and haven’t regretted it for a second. I love having a kitchen that is 100% my own and looks nothing like anyone else’s.
Icy Blue Home Decor Finds
If you’d like to introduce a little bit of icy blue into your home here and there, here are some of my favorite pale blue home decor finds that will be on trend now, but will ultimately be timeless choices you can enjoy in your home long after all the hoopla fades.

Blue Scalloped Pillow Covers | These beautiful scalloped pillow covers are the perfect choice to layer in some ice blue into your bedding or on your couch. Use them to complement your existing floral, plaid, or striped pillows to refresh your space easily and affordably.
Blue and Natural Floral Pillow Covers | I’ve never met a hydrangea I didn’t love, and the print on these pillows is so beautiful. The color, the scale of the pattern, the hand-drawn look – I love everything about these.
Ice Blue Linen Pillow Covers | If you’d like to add a more minimalist pop of ice blue to your space, this is the way to do it. The little bit of texture and detail from the fringe elevate these pillows and make them look special and intentional, rather than cheap and boring.
Framed Cloudy Sky Wall Art | This serene little print makes a beautiful addition to a gallery wall, or can be leaned up with other framed pieces on a console table or desk top.
Pale Blue Rattan Chair | This is the desk chair that I have in our living room, and although it’s meant to be used as one of a set of dining chairs, I think it works beautifully as a statement piece all on its own.
Blue Faux Hydrangea Stems | I love that this barely-there blue is so soft you might hardly even notice it, making these faux stems easy to incorporate into any space.
Blue Glass Hobnail Vase | This vase is such a unique shade for a blue glass vase and I love the hobnail detailing. Colored glass like this looks wonderful aired with textures like wicker, seagrass, linen, and rustic pottery.
Watery Blue Ceramic Vase | This is such a special vase, not only for the beautiful blue color, but also for the distressed top lip, the glaze drips near the base, and the beautiful crazing in the finish. This is how you make a ceramic vase with real depth and beauty.
Icy Blue Runner | This vintage style runner is so fresh and bright, but also easy to work with thanks to the different light blue, mid-blue, and ecru tones woven throughout the pattern.
Will you be embracing the ice blue trend in your home?
