If you’re installing new cabinetry in your home, it’s absolutely worthwhile to take the time to plan for a few custom storage components that suit your family’s needs as well. Here are some favorite built-in cabinetry storage components that we’ve photographed.
I realized the other day just how many great storage options we’ve seen in the homes that we’ve photographed over the last few years. It’s always so thrilling to see a new storage solution that we haven’t seen before and I love that when you work with a custom cabinetry company, you get storage components that are functional as well as beautiful. We never go snooping through homeowner’s cabinets and drawers, but often times they’re so proud of their new kitchens that they’ll bring their new storage solutions up because they just can’t wait to show them off. I’ve even started looking for them when we’re shooting new-build homes that don’t have anyone living in them yet because I just love these clever little add-ons so much. Hopefully these favourite built-in cabinetry storage components will give you some good ideas for your home.

A Few From Our Own Home
Here are a few of the storage components that we added to our ensuite when we did our renovation in there eight years ago. We’re definitely still making use of all these elements every day!
Spice racks on the inside of both cabinet doors, pictured below. We use these for hair tools, clips, and ties and I recently discovered that extra bottles of hand soap fit really well in there, so I line those up on one of the racks.
Towel pantry.
Spice rack inserts in all the smaller drawers for holding skin care products and makeup.
