Easy advent calendar ideas for your kids and for you to enjoy while you count down the days until Christmas!
If your family does advent calendars, then this is the time of year when you really start needing to think about coming up with some advent calendar ideas. Advent calendars start in just a couple of weeks! This tradition started for our family back when I was about 10 and my grandma made one for me. When Kennedy was about four, I remembered how much I had loved my advent calendar so I started making them for her. Of course she loved it so I’ve kept it up. I started making an advent calendar for Jack too last year when he was three.
It really is a lot of fun for all of us to see the kids’ excitement building as we get closer and closer to the big day, but it’s a lot of work too! I love that so many companies are doing pre-made advent calendars of all different types now, so there really is something for everyone! There are even advent calendars for grown-ups now, so you can treat yourself and get in on the fun along with the kids! Below are a few of my favourites for kids young and old that I’ve found this year!
