Today I’ve teamed up with one of my favorite brands for helping make everyday moments feel special. Here’s how I like to elevate the simple everyday moments around the house with Lothantique.
Thanks so much to Lothantique for sponsoring this post.
There are certain necessities that you need to have around the house for homekeeping; basics that your home can’t really function without. Something I’ve learned over the years is that these things, the things you use every day, multiple times a day, can really affect how you feel about your life at home, even when they seem insignificant. Something as simple as the dish soap sitting on the side of your kitchen sink can be visually annoying and even kind of depressing if it’s in an ugly, garishly coloured plastic bottle with old soap dripping down the side. At the same time, when you choose that everyday necessity carefully, opting for something with a lovely scent that makes you happy, in a simple, beautifully-design bottle, that same scene can create a feeling of calm, delight, and even make you look forward to doing those dishes. The little moments really add up.
You’re probably already familiar with the French brand Lothantique, even if you don’t realize it. You’ve almost definitely seen their iconic hand soaps everywhere in all the beautiful kitchens and bathrooms from your favorite designers. These soaps have been a favorite of mine to use for styling and I have quite a collection of them that I keep in my styling supply cabinets at all times because they’re just so visually beautiful.

I have to admit that when I discovered how beautiful the scents are, I got in the habit of “borrowing” these soaps from the styling cabinet to use in our washrooms. Right now I’m using the hand soap and lotion in the “lait” scent in our ensuite.

There are no actual milk products in this soap and lotion set, if that’s a concern for you. The milk scent is lightly sweet and reminds me of the very best cashew or almond milk creamer that you would put in your morning coffee. Just soft and lovely.
Lothantique also carries the most beautiful little marble trays that are the perfect size to hold the soap and the lotion together. They come in a stunning black marble as shown above, as well as a classic white marble. A soap, a lotion, and a marble tray would make the most amazing housewarming gift and would be perfect for Mother’s Day as well.
I have the soap and lotion teamed up with the White Tea room spray, as well as the Grapefruit hand cream. I just can’t get enough of the charming styling of these classic Lothantique products.
The room spray, hand lotion, and candle (shown above in the Grapefruit scent as well) all come packaged in the most fun boxes depicting a hand-drawn French city scene. Wouldn’t you love to see something like that peeking out of a gift basket? The marble tray is pictured above in the white marble and as you can see, it’s just perfect for holding a candle and a little something else. The possibilities are endless, really. I had the idea that I would love to get two matching marble trays and have one on my counter for soap/lotion and another to corral a small perfume collection. The ultimate in luxury and organization in my books. 🙂
Lothantique also carries this new-to-me brand, Loboratorio Olfattivo, with scents that are both inventive and familiar at the same time. I love this diffuser in Polevere di Riso, which means “rice dust” for our entryway. The scent is described as A rich and original floral with notes of lemon, bergamot, hyacinth, lily of the valley, cyclamen, water hyacinth, jasmine, rose, iris and musk and it keeps the room smelling fresh and clean for anyone who comes through our doors while also being a beautiful decorative element on the console table.
The hand soaps from this line are also really special and look perfectly at home in even the most high-end designs. I was thrilled to see a designer that we were working choose a hand soap from this line to style the area next to the sink in kitchen we photographed for her.

The Biancofiore (white flower)Â scent is described as An delicate explosion of flowers, fruits and marine with notes of apple, blueberry, watermelon, lily of the valley, rose of Tahiti, jasmine, four o’clock flower, marine accord, coconut, sandalwood, rosewood and amber.
My Sunday morning ironing is a ritual that I’ve really come to love when I get the chance to do it. I don’t have the iron of my dreams yet, but I find this task that could be such a chore has really been elevated for me since we added this back hall area. It’s just the perfect bright, sunny, clean space for me to work in and the little nook in the cabinetry along with the long bench that runs along the opposite wall really provide me with ample space to place all my neatly folded, freshly-ironed linens. It’s just a satisfying experience. 🙂 I was excited to add this beautiful lavender linen spray to my routine. Scent is so important to me and I love lavender everything, especially during the summer. This spray is the perfect finishing touch for sheets, towels, napkins, and even t-shirts if you’re feeling fancy.
