These Kitchenaid mixer accessories will make you love your mixer even more than you already do! I love all the little things you can find now to help make cooking and baking more efficient and clean up even easier!
When I first got my stand mixer a few years ago, of course I started doing a little research about the different things that I could use it for, and the different tools that I could get for it. I was a little disappointed to find that most of what seemed to be widely available at the time were big, cumbersome, expensive attachments that would take up a lot of room in my cupboards and would really only help with one very specific task at a time. I think that these attachments are definitely a great investment if you happen to find yourself grinding a lot of meat to make sausage, or if you plan to eat fresh pasta everyday for the next two years, but for the my basic needs at the time, those Kitchenaid mixer accessories didn’t really make sense for me.
I did a little search again recently and I was excited to see that there are a lot of new accessories that have come on to the market. These are mostly just little things that will make using your mixer a little bit more efficient, and a little bit more fun too. Some of them are specific things I looked for a few years ago (lids!!) and I’m happy to see that now they’re available!
Accessories for Your Kitchenaid Stand Mixer
There are quite a few fun new bowls available and you can decorate your kitchen counter just by switching your plain bowl out to one that suits your style a little more if you keep your mixer out on your counter all the time like I do. Find this bowl here: Fancy Kitchenaid Mixer Bowl.
You can also buy additional stainless steel mixer bowls if you like to prep several different doughs at once. You can move one bowl to the fridge, then grab a clean bowl and start on the next batch!
And they have lids for those bowls too!
This flex-edge beater will really help me out with a few recipes I like to make. I love that it will make a big difference, but it’s so small and easy to store with the rest of my current attachments. There’s a single-sided one and a double-sided version as well
This glass measuring Kitchenaid mixer bowl has the measurements right on the side of the bowl! Handy! 🙂 And it has a lid too!

Attachments That Actually Look Really Neat
Slicer/Shredder Attachment
If you’re someone who likes to do a whole bunch of food prep on Sundays for the coming week, this would make things much much much easier. I’m always trying to get my kids to work on their kitchen knife skills, but I think they might be more inclined to help me prep the veggies if we had one of these! Plus, the price is right!
Pasta Maker
OK, this one is over-the-top, but I do love fresh pasta! Maybe in a future life when I’m not always trying to throw dinners together in 20 minutes or less. Ha!
Spiralizer
I love veggies noodles, but I’ve been resistant to getting a spiralizer just because it seems like something that would take up a lot of room in my cupbaord. I like the idea of just getting the Kitchenaid attachment instead now that this one is available!
