If you love a designer look, but don’t quite have the budget to match, these affordable wall sconces will be just what you need. I was actually shocked by how inexpensive some of these beautiful options are.

Wall sconces can be like little pieces of sculpture on your wall, and they’re such an effective design element to use in so many different rooms in your home. They’re beautiful flanking a bathroom mirror or a fireplace mantel, but they can also work nicely to help create a focal point out of a piece of art or a kitchen window. Not only do they provide light, but they’re also an important decorative element that can add so much style to your space. Because good light fixtures are essentially works of art, they can be very expensive and quite an investment. If you don’t have the budget for high-end pieces, though, you can still get the look for a fraction of the price if you keep your eyes open for lighting fixtures that are both beautiful and budget-friendly. Here are the surprisingly stunning, affordable wall sconces that I came across while looking for sconces for our kitchen.

Affordable Wall Sconces

Ruffled Shade Brass Sconces | Aren’t these incredible? They have so much style for such a small fixture, and they’ll make any space look instantly like it was conceived by a high-end designer. I’ve only been seeing fixtures like this in the very best spaces, the ones put together by designers and homeowners who are really up-to-date on what’s happening in the design world, and I can’t believe these are available at such an affordable price.
Square Back-Plate Sconces | If you’d like something a little more subtle, a little more timeless, you can’t go wrong with these elegant, inexpensive sconces. My favorite details are the little finials at the bottom and the square back-plate that elevate these fixtures beyond the basic.
Triple-Light Sconce | I love this statement-making triple sconce with its bold black shades. This would be so beautiful at the end of a hallway or as a pair flanking a larger fireplace.
Petite Black Metal Sconces | These are the sconces I used in my kitchen! The linen shades they come with are lovely, but I paired mine with these wicker shades for a look that is totally “me.” These are so inexpensive it’s almost funny, but they’re actually beautiful in person. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something simple and traditional for an old house like ours.
Black Ring Finial Sconce | Love the little ring finial on these black sconces. It almost looks a little nautical without being too theme-y. You could use these as-is or pair them with a little shade to change up the look.
Blush Glass Shade Sconce | This lovely sconce is another statement-maker that I can’t believe is so well-priced. A pair of these would be beautiful in place of bedside lamps or on either side of a bathroom mirror. I’d love to see the pattern that the light makes when it shines through this glass!
Modern Globe Shade Sconce | A simple modern light fixture that would work well in homes with a modern decorating style or as a hit of something modern and sleek in a modern traditional space to keep things fresh. I would love to see these as a pair in a kitchen on either side of a range hood, in multiples running down a hallway, or as bedside lamps.
Swing Arm Sconce | A classic sconce at a great price. Try these on either side of a headboard or on the wall next to a reading chair. I’ve seen sconces like these mounted to the frame of bookshelves, and it’s such a beautiful look as well.
Oval Back Plate Sconces | Another simple sconce option. This one has a historically inspired oval backplate, which I love. These are so sweet and understated on their own, but can be fitted with lampshades as well.

I have a wall in my living room where I would love to put sconces, but it’s just not a convenient place for hardwired sconces. That can happen often in old houses. Instead of leaving the wall blank, I ordered these wireless sconces to try for the wall. I haven’t had the chance to put them up yet, because I’m just waiting for a few more things for the wall, but I love that they’re a bit more of a substantial size than other wireless sconces that I’ve seen and the beautifully detailed finals on the ends of the sconces look so classic and timeless. You can shop these wireless sconces here if you think this option might be an even better fit for your home.
Do you have beautiful sconces in your home that you paid a fortune for? What do you think about all these amazing, affordable options that are available now?
