Beautiful but useful garden tools just make gardening chores more fun, whether you’re weeding, pruning, or gathering. Here are some favorites – some that I already own, and some that are on my wishlist.

I recently ordered a beautiful but affordable set of wood-handled garden tools, and I always get questions about them whenever they show up in photos on Instagram. I’m a firm believer that gardening supplies can and should be durable and functional as well as beautiful, and I know a lot of other gardeners feel the same way. It can be hard to find garden tools that aren’t bright, plastic colors, so I put together this roundup of some of my favorites that I own, and also a few garden-related items that are still on my wishlist that I know you’ll love as well.
Beautiful and Functional Garden Tools

Cutest Garden Shed | This garden shed would fit perfectly tucked into a corner of any garden. The perfect size for storing long-handled garden tools, smaller hand tools, and potting supplies.
Long-Handled Garden Weeder | I’ve always wanted to try this type of weeder, but I don’t have one in my collection yet. It looks like it would be great for fluffing up the top layer of mulch, where tiny weeds can sometimes seed if you don’t keep things moving.
3-Piece Wood Garden Tool Set | This is the set I have that I get so many questions about! The tools are sturdy and good quality, and the pruners are so sharp! A great, affordable find.
Wood Handled Mini Pruning Shears | These are great for trimming delicate plants, harvesting, or deadheading dainty annuals.
Wood Handled Hori Hori Knife | I keep hearing so much about these hori hori knives! Apparently, they’re the ultimate all-purpose garden tool for weeding, digging, edging, and just about everything else.
Wood Handled Hedge Trimmers | When it comes to trimming my hedges, I follow the late Roger Cook’s advice (from This Old House) and always use my hand pruners to trim branches and allow light to get through into the middle of the plant. I then like to follow up with these flat hedge trimmers to get a really smooth finish.
Copper Watering Can | A cute watering can that you can leave out anywhere without it looking like clutter is an absolute necessity when you consider how often it gets used all over the yard all summer long. I love this copper version.
Woven Garden Trug | The best way to show off your harvest, whether it’s fresh veggies from the vegetable patch or a few wildflowers for a quick arrangement on your kitchen table.
Gardening Bucket Hat | This little hat is so much more affordable than similar hats on the market, but it’s so cute in person. I originally picked it up to be a prop for photo shoots, but I decided to keep it for myself as my garden hat because I love it so much.
Garden Apron | This might be the best garden apron I’ve come across. I love the cute shape of the apron and all those pockets in every shape and size!
