A summer at home is just what we need to recharge our batteries and get our feet under us after a busy winter and spring. Settle in with these ideas for summer fun at home.

Does a summer at home sound exactly like what you need right now? Long days spent digging in the garden, evenings with bbq and lawn games, and bike rides by the water – all the best things about a quiet summer savored with intention. We have a bit of a bucket list this year that involves all these things and more, as we try to create a slow summer as much as possible between work and a packed soccer schedule. I thought it would be fun today and put together a few items that inspire me to have just that kind of slow, quiet, peaceful summer full of fun and lots of rest. Let me know what you would add to this list of summer at home essentials!
Ideas for Spending Summer at Home

Picnic Basket | A picnic is such a fun way to enjoy a sunny afternoon, whether you visit a lakeside park, a public garden, or just your own backyard. This picnic basket is so stylish and makes great shelf decor and storage when the picnic season is over.
Beach Cruiser Bike | My new bike! The perfect comfortable, stylish ride for relaxed trips along a favorite trail or by the sparkling water.
Retro-Style Stand Cooler | Equal parts functional cooler, stylish decor, and conversation starter. I love this cooler for a pop of fun color on a backyard deck.
Popsicle Molds | If you love to make your own popsicles at home, these metal molds are supposed to be the very best. They give you that nostalgic popsicle shape, are easy to remove, and allow you to release just one popsicle at a time if you like.
Portable Cornhole Game | If you’re going to be spending long days out in the backyard, lawn games are a must. What’s most inviting than a cornhole set and a pile of bean bags beckoning to you to give it a try?
Table Tennis Set | We have a set just like this in a less stylish colorway, and we use it all the time. Transform any table into a table tennis table in a matter of seconds with this spring-loaded set. Works well for indoors or out. I love this cute clue and white set to add a little bit of summer festiveness to your backyard game time.
Copper Watering Can | We spend hours and hours of the summer months caring for our plants, watering them, and keeping them looking their best. There’s something about a stylish watering can that you can just leave out on the front porch that fills the whole process with more ease and joy.
Croquet Set | We have a vintage croquet set that we inherited with the house, but it seems to have gone mysteriously missing this summer, so we’ll need to find it ASAP. Croquet is such a fun game for young and old, and if you don’t own a set of your own, this set will help set you up for making new summer memories in your own backyard.
All-Weather Adirondack Chairs | I will never stop singing the praises of these all-weather Adirondack chairs. They can be left out in any weather, all year round, and they will stay looking brand new for decades. Classic patio furniture that is truly maintenance-free and always waiting for you.
