When I look back on pictures of our house from Christmas last year, I really think it looks kind of sad and pathetic.I mean, that’s good right? It means we’re making progress and the house is coming along!
The only thing is, I don’t think it’s entirely accurate and that kind of bugs me. I know Christmas here last year didn’t seem sad and pathetic. Not at all. It was our first Christmas in our new house! We were finally where we’re supposed to be. We were living the dream!
I think I just mostly didn’t do a very good job of documenting all the things that made the house feel special and personal and like it was our home for real. So I set out to do a bit better job of that this year, and I decided to let you in on it!
It’ll be mostly pictures for this one!
I really just walked around the house for five minutes and snapped some pictures of things I like that make me happy and that didn’t make it to the blog.
When you start with all your planning and decorating so early, you can start to feel Christmassed out around this time of year. I’ve been feeling lately that while I love it all, I’m ready for a break! I’m ready to have my normal everyday house back!
That’s exactly the time to get out the camera and make sure I take a moment to appreciate everything before it’s gone.
Thanks for joining me!
