There are so many really surprising uses for hairspray around the house! Here are a few of my favorite, most practical uses that I’ve come across.
I can’t believe how many uses for hairspray I was able to come up with once I started thinking about it! Every once in awhile I put two and two together and start to realize that I have quite a list of unusual uses for some seemingly boring household item or another, and before you know it a blog post is born! Some of these are things that we actually do in our home quite regularly so I can’t believe it took me this long to share them. 🙂 Take a look at these great uses for hairspray around the house and let me know if you have any other favorites that I’ve left out!
Clever Uses for Hairspray
Use it to preserve chalkboard drawings! From little red window
Use it to remove ball point pen from just about any surface.
Pam from House of Hawthornes suggests using hairspray as a step in the hydrangea-drying process.
Spray a flower before drying it to preserve the color. Especially great for roses.
Use hairspray to help with the decoupage process. From Mod Podge Rocks
Spray hairspray on the end of a thread to help you thread the needle more easily!
Preserve a fresh wreath by spraying it every few days with hairspray. This helps seal in the moisture and makes the needles stay on longer!
Dry nail polish more quickly by letting your nails dry for 1 minutes and then spraying them with hairspray. After spraying, wait another minute, then wash your hands.
Spray your curtains with hairspray to keep them dust-free!
Spray clothing with hairspray to eliminate static! We actually do this all the time in our house now that we’ve discovered how well it works!
Remove fur and lint from clothing with hair spray!
Remove ink stains from clothing. I tried this out a few weeks ago and was amazed at how well it worked!
