There are so many things that you can clean with denture cleaner. Those little tablets are inexpensive and can make household cleaning tasks a breeze!
This might sound a little ridiculous, but actually, it’s just ridiculous-sounding enough that you’d better believe it works really well. Denture wearers who regularly pick up things like denture adhesive and denture cleaner may have figured this out already, but I may even have a few new suggestions they haven’t tried yet! A few months ago I tried cleaning a bottle vase with a packet of denture cleanser tablets, and I was amazed at how it sparkled afterward, even with all the buildup that was inside. It worked so well without the need for soaking or a scrub that I started using denture tablets to clean other vases that didn’t really need a super special method of cleaning because it’s just so easy, so effective, and so quick. And then I started wondering what other messes I could dissolve with these little pellets of cleaning power. So here’s what I’ve discovered so far!

How to Clean With Denture Cleaner Tablets
The method is the same basically no matter what you’re cleaning. First, add warm tap-water. Next, add a denture care tablet or two and wait until the effervescent fizzing stops. Finally, rinse out the water, polishing the item with a soft cloth if possible. I’ve found with the bottle vases that they don’t usually need a wipe, but sometimes rinsing with a swish of fresh water is a good idea. The results are the same as you’d get from cleaning dentures this way: The items you’re working with are brighter, whiter, fresh and clean, and even have that toothpaste fresh mint scent that would make your dentist proud.

What to Clean With Denture Tablets: Stained Coffee Mugs
It might not be quite as obvious, but all mugs get stained, not just the white ones. I tend to ignore some of my black and navy blue mugs because I don’t notice the staining quite as much, but then the light will hit one in just the right way one day and it’s not a pretty picture. The foaming denture cleaning tablet is an easy way to de-stain all your mugs quickly without the use of harsh detergent, removing build-up, germs, and leaving only freshness behind.

Hair Brushes
After removing excess hair from between the bristles, soak them in a sink of warm water with a couple of denture tablets to remove buildup from dirt, oil, and hair products. The denture tablets will even deodorize your brush for you and their antibacterial properties will definitely come in handy as well for removing odor problems. While you’re at it, you may want to clean your flat iron as well.

Bottle Vases
This was how I first discovered the magical cleansing power of denture tablets for working on hard-to-reach places. What a relief to clean vases and remove plant and mineral deposits so effectively without scrubbing or wiping. If you need to get into the neck of the vase after you’re done with the denture cleaner treatment, old toothbrushes work very well for that.
