This 2 ingredient cookie recipe for banana bread cookies is one of my all-time favorites to share. You’re going to absolutely love these healthy cookies!

Just a little bit of kitchen magic for you here today. You take two seemingly boring and ho-hum ingredients and…voila! Healthy, 2 ingredient cookies!
I stumbled upon this one awhile ago on a message board about baby food and I’ve been wanting to try it out ever since. But for me!
In true form, I didn’t actually have any photo-ready ingredients on hand when I decided I wanted to try these out, so let’s just pretend.
That’s all you need! Ripe bananas and quick oats!
Here’s what I actually had:
I had peeled, wrapped, frozen, and then defrosted some bananas before starting this project. Of course, frozen bananas are perfect for any banana recipe, but not so great for pictures. Oh well! I have a feeling you’ll love this recipe anyways. 🙂
How to Make 2 Ingredient Banana Cookies
So here’s what you do:
Take 1 cup and quick oats.
Then.
Take about 2 mushed up bananas.
Then.
Mix them together.
Drop your cookies by the spoonful onto a greased cookie sheet. I lined mine with aluminum foil just for easy clean up. Parchment works perfectly as well.
Then you bake them for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees, and Bam! Cookies!
This recipe makes about nine cookies, perfect for a little snack and then breakfast the next day, but you can double or triple it easily.
I was absolutely amazed at how satisfyingly banana-bready these cookies were. And they had a perfect soft-cookie texture! How can it be that we haven’t all been making these everyday since the dawn of time?
Add Your Personal Touch
I love these cookies as-is or served warm with a little bit of butter. If you want a little extra sweetness or nutrition, you can add in just about anything you like!
Some ideas:
-honey
-maple syrup
-walnuts
-chocolate chips
-cinnamon
-dried fruit
-anything you might add to banana bread
I also like to make them into kind of a breakfast cookie by adding in a handful of raw sunflower seeds, some chia seeds, and a few raisins. So good!
These are great for anyone looking for a healthier treat and so good for kids and older babies too!
Try these healthy, 2 ingredient cookies and tell me what you think!
If you’re looking for more easy banana recipes, check out my three ingredient banana bread! Not quite as healthy as these healthy cookies, but still an easy and delicious treat to make for your family as the weather cools off!
