I mentioned the other day in my kitchen before and after post that I never did get around to doing much decor in that room, but that I felt like it was probably better to leave the counters open and clear anyway. I just enjoy having a kitchen that functions well and feels easy to work in more than anything else. The one exception to the no-unnecessary-decor rule could be a fun DIY painted sign and it’s something that I started thinking about almost right away after I hit publish on that post and said that I was good with no decor in there, strangely enough! 🙂 I always love a good DIY sign project because they can be so so so affordable to complete, there are so many ways to go about making them that can be really easy, and they add so much personality to a space. I used to make my own signs for fun quite often, but I haven’t made one in awhile. I’ve been doing some serious dreaming about spring lately though and I think this is one of the first springtime projects that I’d like to complete out in the garage as soon as the weather warms up a little more consistently. If you think this sounds like a fun project idea too, here are some of my favorite sign ideas to get you thinking!
