This little part of our living room was looking pretty darn sad after we got all the Christmas stuff taken down and put away a couple of weeks ago. After I finished painting that genius (if I do say so myself!) square of paint on the wall to make the area feel a little bit more detailed and richer, we got to work adding some easy Valentine's Day-style decorations.
It all started with the big felt X's and O's. We cut them out to the size of full sheets of felt and then ironed them onto our newly-prettified wall using my starching method.
We draped this red and kraft paper chain across the front.
We added some topiary balls plunked down on top of some milk glass.
I had Kennedy paint me this white heart onto some scrap wood. She was not too pleased at all because in her mind, Valentine's decor should always be pink and red, but I love it. It's my favorite part!
Underneath I stuck a bunch of stuff into this bucket of burlap. Hey, it kinda works!
The main thing is that you can't help but be cheered up a little bit when you look at the whole set up!

Kennedy's heart is my favorite thing, too and I love those felt XOXOs :) Festive and fun!
Really sweet decorations. So simple but they stand out. I love the x's and 0's and the white heart. The topiaries are sweet and will carry you into spring. Enjoy the day.
My Glue Guns Group is getting together this week to make Valentine's decorations! I can't wait! I'm ready to get some "love" in this house ;)!
Sweet! Love the paper chain. Reminds me of one Austin and I worked on a few Christmases in a row.
The heart would obviously be your fav. ;) It's perfect!
Cute! Love the paper chain and the heart Kennedy painted. We have had a crazy busy week but I finally got around to adding some Valentines cheer to the shelves in our kitchen.
