A Wintery Scarf Pillow

Seriously. How cute is this pillow?

I made it in about 3 minutes the other morning and that includes extra time for Kennedy to complain that this is a boring craft. I love it though!

I had this old scarf that I really liked, but never really wore and it had all these little strings pulled out of it. It just looked ratty.

I cut off the two ends of the scarf and strategically placed them on this old stained pillow I had so that it looked like they were kind of draping over casually, but also so that the frays and yucky bits were all hidden. Then I just hot glued it in place!

Now it's the perfect cozy-looking pillow to sit on a chair by our mud room door next to where all the coats and boots and real scarves are.

Quick, easy, and free! A great way to start the new year!

Oh my goodness! I love this! I have so many scarves and living in Alabama....I do not need them around my neck very often!! I might put one on a pillow to enjoy it more!

It looks great and perfect for this season. Now you need to grab a bunch of knit mitts and string them like a bunting. It kills me when I think of all the kids hand knit mittens that they outgrew and I gave away. I should have kept them for pillows and such. I just posted the finished buffet and hutch, hubby made and cleared away dinner and now I'm going to light a candle and knit for a bit. Maybe I will make one of those candle cozies I keep seeing.

I LOVE it!! What a fun idea. Too bad I live in Texas and therefore have no scarves lying around. :(
