We installed our first new light fixture in this house and now I think I'm addicted.

Just as promised, here's yet another progress report on the front hall!

We got a new light! Of course, you can hardly see it in these pictures, but I just want you to know that it's not for a lack of trying!

We got it from The Home Depot down the street and Chris just installed it the other day.

I've been stalking light fixtures all over the place ever since and planning out all the new lights we "need" for every other room. I love what a difference it makes!

That sucker is bright!

Except when it's turned off!

I knew I wanted a lantern style in this room, but I hadn't considered this more modern type until one of my mother-in-laws bought it for her house, but then discovered it was too big. We happily took it off her hands and bought her a replacement that we all think is just perfect for her space.

Just to clarify, I have two mother-in-laws, not two husbands. Ha.

I love how the new lantern freshens up the space and adds that extra shiny *ping!* that this house needs so much of right now.

Well, the lantern is pretty but the photos are not. Let's look at some cute kids now instead, shall we?

This is Kennedy and her sweet cousin getting hay rides around the yard on (Canadian) Thanksgiving day.
