Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup White sugar
  • 1 1/2 sticks Butter melted
  • 1 Egg or a plant-based substitute
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 cups Oats
  • 1 cup Flour or a gluten-free 1:1 substitute

Instructions

  1. Prepare an 8x8 baking pan by lining it with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 350°.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the sugars, melted butter, egg, and cinnamon and mix until you have a smooth, even mixture.

  3. Add the oats and flour and stir until everything is well-coated and evenly combined. Turn the mixture out into the lined baking dish and spread it around evenly, filling all areas of the dish. Smooth the top with a rubber spatula or spoon.

  4. Bake for 45 minutes until the bars are light golden brown. Allow to cool completely in the dish, then remove and slice into bars. Store in an airtight container.
