Easy Cake Mix Brownies

Try these cake mix brownies the next time you need a quick dessert for a potluck, holiday, or a bake sale. They couldn't be quicker to bake and the results are always decadent and foolproof.

Ingredients

  • 1 box Chocolate cake mix
  • 1/4 cup Milk or non-dairy substitute
  • 1/4 cup Melted salted butter or plant-based substitute
  • 2 Eggs or vegan egg substitute
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° and line an 8x8 square baking dish with parchment paper.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, milk, melted butter, and eggs. Stir everything together until you have a smooth batter.

  3. Add 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips to the batter and mix until the chips are evenly distributed.

  4. Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly to fill the entire dish. Smooth the top with a spoon or spatula and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup chocolate chips over the top.

  5. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool completely in the baking pan. Remove the brownies from the pan and slice them into small squares.
