Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Milk (or appropriate amount for glass size)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Maple Syrup or to taste
  • 2 pinches Salt coarse sea salt or himalayan pink salt
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3 tbsp Heavy Cream
  • 3-5 Ice Cubes
  • 1 shot Prepared Espresso

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cold foam: Froth together 3 tbsp heavy cream with 2 tbsp milk, 1 tbsp maple syrup, and a dash of vanilla extract. Set aside to separate and thicken.

  2. Prepare the latte base: In a glass, combine milk, about 1 tsp of maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine. Add a few ice cubes, leaving about 1" of space at the top of the glass.

  3. Prepare the shot of espresso using your espresso machine and pour it carefully over top of the ice, creating a beautiful, layered look.

  4. Scoop out the cold from your steaming pitcher using a tablespoon and add a few big dollops to the top of your latte. Drizzle with a little bit more maple syrup, and top with another pinch of salt.

  5. Stir after serving, if desired, to mix all the ingredients together.
