Dump the apple pie filling, cake mix, 2 teaspoons of the cinnamon, and the butter into your slow cooker, in that order. Turn the slow cooker on high and cook for two hours.
After the two hours, open the slow cooker and stir all of the ingredients together thoroughly. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and the brown sugar. Replace the lid and cook for an additional 1.5-2 hours.
