Almond Butter Cookies

Try these almond butter cookies if you have people in your family who can't/won't eat classic peanut butter cookies! A great, simple cookie!

  • 1 cup Natural almond butter (warm in microwave if it can't be stirred)
  • 1/2 cup Whole wheat flour
  • 1.5 tsp baking soda
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple sauce
  • 1/4 tsp salt


  1. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar in a large bowl and set aside.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the almond butter and apple sauce until well-blended.

  3. Fold the almond butter mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

  4. Roll the dough into 1.5 inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on parchment or silpat-lined baking sheets.

  5. Bake for 9 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Allow to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
