Stripes are always a good idea. I always love a good stripe, but I think I’m particularly drawn to them right now because spring is getting closer and closer, but our weather just isn’t reflecting that lately as much as I’d like. Stripes are like a vacation in a pillow!…or a shirt! or book ends! 🙂
If a good striped something won’t cheer you up, I don’t know what will! Oh, right. Going out and seeing people and living life. Ha. Well, stripes are good too! It’s possible that some people may say that I already have enough stripes in my life, but let me assure you: That’s just not possible. I thought it would be fun to put together a few of my favourite striped finds today and share them with you, just in case you could use a little springy, stripe-y goodness in your life too!
These are some of my favourite finds from around the internet if you could use some fresh stripes, but the great thing about this classic pattern is that you probably already have some stripes in your house right now. Maybe even something similar to one of these items I’ve listed below. Even if you aren’t in the mood for shopping right now, you just might get inspired to bring your stripes back out and enjoy their happy springy/summery vibes once again.
Fun fact: I was inspired to make my first ever throw pillows about 15 years ago because of some really beautiful green striped fabric that I really wanted to incorporate into the living room in our rental townhouse.
This is my “Hey, Chris, take a picture of me wearing this striped shirt for my blog post” pose. 🙂
Stripes for Your Home
Stripes for You
That new striped shirt was one of my bday presents to myself this year. I’m 5’3″ and I got the xs regular, but I would probably get the xs petite next time because it’s quite long on me.
Do you have a never-ending love of stripes like I do?
