You know, they sure do make some purdy Easter baskets out there. Really nice ones with pretty fabric liners and ruffles and bows and whatnot. Know how many people actually buy those? Like, 2.
Most people just pick up the cheapo ones at Walmart or the dollar store. And then they sit in a closet somewhere and get all deformed and then you pull them out the next year and you just can’t use them again.
Tell me I’m wrong.
I took one of those cheapo baskets last year and made it a little prettier. Then it got wrecked in the move. So I decided to try again. Yup, I’m one of them that buys that $1 basket thinking it will be good enough, but then I feel guilty that it’s not really very special, so at the last minute I try to craft my way out of it.
Here’s what I came up with:
Yeah, I wrapped it in a bit of twine. It works. It always works.
Then I was feeling like the handle was looking a little warped and lop-sided so I wrapped a little tuile around the handle and made a bow.
Stamp Kennedy’s monogram on it and it’s definitely an improvement!
And what does Kennedy think of it?
Well, a certain little girl may have made a special Easter video just for you. But that will have to wait until tomorrow.
Happy Easter, friends!
