Father’s Day is coming up and I thought it would be fun to make a little gift guide inspired by Chris and all the things he likes. Here’s my Father’s Day gift guide 2022!
I’m not the most consistent gift guide maker, but I had a moment of inspiration the other day, and I just had to put this together. Chris isn’t actually the biggest fan of gifts, but these are the things I would get him if he was. 🙂 They would also make great for-no-reason gifts if you know a dad who would prefer random gift giving over holiday gift giving like Chris. There have been several instances lately where Chris has mentioned something, or complained of something and I’ve thought “Oh, I know exactly what you need for that.” He’s not someone who often wants or needs a lot of things, so I definitely make a note when I do happen to have a gift idea for him. I’m sure a lot of us know someone like that.
Pictured Above:
Theragun | I’ve heard so many good things about these!
AirPods Pro | I’m pretty sure the only reason Chris goes to the gym is so he has an excuse to listen to podcasts
Super Light Camping Chair | These are the best if you need to lug a chair with you to the beach. The fold down to nothing and can fit in a corner of your beach bag!
Yeti Cooler | Chris likes to challenge himself to see how long he can make the ice in our cooler last when we’re camping. Our steel belted Coleman was a game-changer when we got it, but a Yeti just might work even better.
Brooks Ghost Running Shoes | Chris swears by these for outdoor and treadmill running. Whenever the newest model comes out, he buys the previous model because they go on sale. Such a dad move. 🙂
LL Bean Tent | We just bought a new tent this year, but then I saw this one with a little doggy alcove built-in for Chuckers. How fun is that? Someone needs to buy this and send me a picture of their dog in his own little tent room.
Solo Stove | Again, something I’ve heard so many good things about! I love that we could have this on our soon-to-be-rebuilt back deck so it’s within our treed area and out of the wind. We could actually use it more than once a year!
All-Weather Adirondack Chairs | For when the deck is done. The perfect setup for when Chris wants to sit outside and listen to the baseball game.
Lightweight Patagonia Zip-up | A functional sweater for cooler mornings and evenings that would be a go-to all summer long.
Raybans | The same ones he’s worn for years and replaces every once in awhile with a new pair. Can’t go wrong.
Slippers | Chris wear slippers in the house always, but refuses to buy himself good ones and has to replace them constantly. LL Bean slippers last forever and I’ve been trying to convince him to come over to the dark side of quality in-house footwear for years. He’s probably had 20 pairs in the time that I’ve had my one pair.
I know Chris would also recommend a camera like the one we use for anyone looking for improve their photography game. He researched this one forever before we got it. For something a little more casual this one is an absolutely amazing value. He and the camera store guys end up talking about how great it is for some reason every time we go in. We have it as our back up camera, but honestly we could probably get away with using it for 90% of what we do. Also, the new Mavic Mini 3 drone is available for pre-order and he’s mentioned it on more than one occasion already. 🙂
