Today I’m going to share a really fun little update that I did in our kitchen last week featuring this cute affordable gold kitchen hardware I came across!
I’ve been pondering a hardware update in our kitchen for quite awhile. When we did our kitchen makeover four years ago, I chose hardware that I wasn’t really crazy about, but that was practical and didn’t look terrible. I’ve been wanting to replace it with something a little more eye-catching ever since and when I found this super affordable gold kitchen hardware on Amazon recently – for $2 per piece – I thought it was at least worth a little style experiment. I thought this would be a perfect idea to share for this month’s edition of the Thrifty Style Team! Thanks so much to Julie from Redhead Can Decorate for organizing this fun group post every month!

Gold Kitchen Hardware Update – Before
So here you can see the hardware that I had on the cabinets in here before. This is what I put on when we first re-painted the cabinets a few years ago.
Not terrible by any means, but nothing exciting. I had considered spray painting this existing hardware gold, and that would have made a great addition to my list of spray painting projects that can save you money, but for this price, I decided to just go the easier route and try these Amazon finds.
Gold Kitchen Hardware Update -After
Bam! Here’s that same spot in our kitchen with the new updated hardware. You can find this hardware here on Amazon.
I feel like this super modern hardware looks really great in here with my more traditional cabinetry and the butcher block counters.
I’m still considering adding a gold faucet to really complete the look. Our current faucet was an IKEA find and it has functioned absolutely perfectly, but a new gold faucet could be really fun too. There are also several gold faucets on Amazon at great price points with really good reviews. I love this one here, and also this one.
Would you ever consider updating your kitchen with gold hardware like this?
