OK, so I shared a similar idea to this one for Christmas two years ago, but I’m showing you this easy wreath idea now for fall because it’s just so good! And also, I can’t believe it took me two years to realize that this idea could be applied to other seasons, not just at Christmastime. And if it’s my own dang idea and I couldn’t even realize that, then chances are that you didn’t realize it either! 🙂 So I give you the 45 Second Fall Leaf Wreath!
So first you start out with a plain grapevine wreath. If you don’t already have a few of these, I definitely recommend picking up one or two when they’re on sale. I’ve purchased some for as low as $1.88 before! These are great for every season because they’re so versatile. You can just tuck a few sprigs of seasonally-appropriate greenery in there and then you’re all set for whatever time of year it is. This tactic definitely saves a lot of time, space, and money!
The only other thing you need for a fall leaf wreath like this is a long faux-leaf garland. You can get some pretty decent ones at the dollar store now, but I picked mine up last year at Michael’s. These can be $20-$30 regular price, but they usually go on sale for as low as $5 a couple of times during the season. If you already have the grapevine wreath, that means your wreath will only cost you $5! And you can reuse the garland in a different spot next year if you want to.
Once you have your wreath assembling items ready, all you need to do it wrap the garland loosely around the wreath form and that’s it! It probably actually takes less than 45 seconds, but those extra few seconds allow you some time to fuss over it a bit if you need to. There are these little plastic loops at the beginning and then end of the garland, so just tuck those in between the vines to secure everything. I keep my grapevine wreath hanging on this door year-round by a wide white ribbon, so I didn’t even have to worry about hanging it. Already done!
Bam! Ready for Fall!
I’ve seen some eerily similar wreaths to this advertised this year for over $100, so I’m pretty happy with this little creation of mine!
If you’ve been on the lookout for a nice, simple, natural-looking fall wreath this year, but haven’t wanted to spend a fortune, then I definitely recommend this method! 🙂
P.S. Note to self: They also sell garlands in spring and summer greenery so keep that in mind for next year! 🙂
Do you have your fall wreath up yet this year? Did you make it yourself or did you buy it?
