The other day when I was putting together my post about keeping celery fresh, I started to realize just how many uses for aluminum foil there really are around the house. There are some things, like rubbing alcohol, that I realize I use all the time for all kinds of different tips and tricks, but the fact that I also use aluminum foil for all kinds of things really kind of crept up on me. The more I thought about, the more I realized that aluminum foil has made a ton of appearances in a lot of my most popular posts over the last few years and even more in my daily life. I thought I’d put together a little list today to highlight some of my very favorite uses! (Click on the images or on the linked text to find out more info on each idea.)
This method is kind of like magic if you’ve never tried it before! 🙂

As A Serving Dish: Cover a piece of cardboard in aluminum foil for the perfect sized disposable tray for bringing cakes and other goodies to a potluck! I think this is such a clever idea! I can’t find an image for it, but I intend to use this one out the next time I need a disposable tray for something!

Safely Clean Your Grill
Doctors are now saying that you should never use those metal bristled BBQ brushes. Use aluminum foil instead!
Pretty amazing stuff when you start to take a moment to think about it, isn’t it? And here the rest of the world was thinking it was just for covering up that casserole they were bringing to the potluck!
Do you have any clever aluminum foil uses that aren’t already on this list? How do you use it in your home?
