I’ve shared a couple of other ideas for these fun dessert pizzas in the past, and today I thought I’d share another one that I made recently that turned out particularly well, if I do say so myself! 🙂
The bright red color is just so pretty on a buffet table and the whole “dessert pizza” aspect of it just makes it extra fun!
Kennedy and I threw it together in about 15 minutes using store bought dough, pie filling, and a few basic pantry items that we already had on hand, but it turned out looking all rustic and delicious and homemade. Don’t you just love that?
I actually followed my recipe for apple pie dessert pizza exactly, and just subbed in the cherry pie filling instead, so the possibilities for this festive dessert are pretty much only limited to what kinds of fun pie fillings you can find or whip up.
If you’re taking this with you on the road, I would recommend putting the icing/glaze into a squeeze bottle for people to add themselves, or for you to drizzle on just before serving so it doesn’t just mix right into the pizza “toppings”. A pretty glaze in a zig-zag pattern in the perfect finishing touch!
