Hello, amigos! I have a really quick little idea to share with you here today. It’s one of those tricks that I caught Chris using last week and I couldn’t not share it, you know? Hope it comes in handy!
The other day, I was watching the baby and Chris was watching Ellen or something so I asked him to go hang this mirror on the back of Kennedy’s closet door. It’s something I’ve been meaning to do for a long time, just to get it out of the way and make it usable for her, but it was just a plain cheapo mirror with no hanging hardware, so I wasn’t exactly sure how it was going to happen. I knew Chris would figure something out though. 🙂
If we have any hanging hardware around this house anywhere, I don’t know where it is right now, so this is just as good. Maybe better because it’s quick and pretty much free. Plus a screwdriver and a staple gun are pretty much always within reach around here.
So he just stapled into the frame of the mirror, with the flat head screwdriver under the staple gun, creating a little gap between the frame and the top of the staple!
He did that on both side of the frame and then was able to use those to anchor a hanging wire! So clever, right?
Now you’ll never have to go scrounging for those little packs of hanging hardware again!
Hope this one will be useful to you the next time you need to hang something!
