Isn't Winter beautiful? It's a marshmallow world out there, folks!
Do you know what one of my favorite things about Winter is this year? Nope, not sledding. Not hot chocolate. Not warming up next to the fire pit.
It's all those amazing Winter scenery pictures that keep popping up in Pinterest. This is one stunning season. The only problem is that it's cold. Real cold!
I thought I'd better get brave one day and pop outside to show you all the real beauty that surrounds us here everyday. Just to contribute to the pool of pretty pictures floating around out there and do my fair share.
I have to tell you that I only lasted about 5 minutes before my eyes were watering and my fingers were numb and I had to run back inside to the warmth of my blankie and my nice laptop.
For a moment though, I was out there in the blowing snow and not just admiring it from the window.
I brought the popcorn strings from the Christmas tree out for the birds.
And then I ran right back inside!

I was hoping to see a snow covered version of your view - thank you! My mom grew up in Iowa and remembers her nostrils freezing shut in the cold, cold weather. Western WA is pretty mild although a few snow flakes fell this morning.
Thanks for braving the cold to get these great photos of the snow! We are in a mild spell here in New Brunswick this week but it's still very snowy. I am so far enjoying the white snow and the beautiful blue skies we get most days. Also did you notice that winter sunrises and sunsets are really gorgeous and pink? Stay cozy inside. Hugs, Pamela

My favorite thing about winter this year is that we are finally having a real winter!!!! The last 2 years were mild and not stimulating at all.......but this year, ah, one of the best!!! We are in a January Thaw right now but more snow on the way next week and frigid temps too....I will get pics next time around to show you......the air is crisp and clean, the 'blue hour' just stunning....the smell is so fresh....
We're still wearing flip flops and shorts in Florida and I almost had to turn our A/C on ... your gorgeous pictures allow me to live vicariously through you and dream of finally being able to wear my scarves :)
