I showed you my sort of trempe l'oeil version in the Summer, and then the Back to School one as well, because it was just funny.
I really didn't intend on making this one terrible this time. I wanted it to be for real good! You've stood by me through all the different chalkboards and have shown your support and encouragement and you deserve something grand. Or at least cute.
The desk still needs to be refinished, but let's just ignore that for now. The bunting was made out of paper a few years ago. It was when Kennedy was just learning to spell so I had her stamp out the letters and we figured out the spelling together. It was a fun project and I loved how it turned out, so we still use it every year.
Onto the chalk drawing. It's a pumpkin. The background is supposed to be sort of corn field-y. I didn't think it was that bad, until I stood back and realized something about it was bothering me. But what?
A butt is what. My pumpkin looks like a giant butt! And then I left it up because it's hilarious. Kind of like my fancy rocks in the dining room. You have to laugh at yourself sometimes. Or all the time.
It looks like something you would draw in third grade when you're trying to make your friend giggle and think you're cool. So I guess that's where my sense of humor is right now! Stuck in the third grade.
Just don't tattle on me to the teacher for saying the word "butt"! Pretty please?
