Hope everyone had a great weekend! I seemed to have caught that flu bug that's been going around everywhere, but luckily I managed to get quite a bit done late last week, so I've still got plenty to share. I'm sure I'll be back in tip top shape tomorrow to keep all this fun progress moving in Kennedy's room.
So after I finished up with the Cookie Sheet Magnet Board, I moved on to the little space above her bed where the ceiling slopes down. Here's what I did!
I picked up these little wooden cursive letters in her initials at Michael's and gave them a quick paint job with some gold craft paint from the dollar store.
Well, she's 6. So she doesn't know cursive yet. So for the "G" she's still a little bit confused about why I think one of her initials is a "B" and why I put it up backwards. She still likes it though!
See those little curly-cue bits of twine hanging down? Yeah, those were supposed to be what the letters were going to hang from, but then I realized that it's an exterior brick wall and you can't exactly nail into it. Oops. I liked the way they fill out the space though, so I kept them!
I'm really liking where this room is going so far, and bonus, all these little projects that are making the biggest difference are either super cheap or free! How can you not love that?
I have one more little (free!) project that I'm going to get done in here this week. Hope to have it ready to show you soon!

Her room is so charming. And I love that bedside lamp - I'm having the toughest time finding one like that!
